At PROK, we believe in making every step count, not just for our business but for the community as well. We’re excited to share that we’ve recently taken part in not one, but three charity fun runs in 2023 to support Lifeline, a vital organization that provides crucial assistance to those in crisis. The HBF Run for a Reason in Perth, City 2 Surf Sydney, and Chevron City to Surf Perth were our stages to lace up and show our dedication to this noble cause.

Coming Together for a Worthy Cause

Over 30 enthusiastic participants from PROK eagerly took part in these three fantastic events. The sight of our team members donning our company colours while preparing to run was truly inspiring with each person completing either the 4km, 12km, or 14km courses.

Along the way the team took in the sights of the Perth and Sydney CBD’s, the stunning coastline of City Beach in Perth and the iconic Bondi Beach, Sydney.

We are thrilled to announce that our efforts have raised over $3000 for Lifeline. This accomplishment speaks volumes about our team’s passion for giving back and making a real difference in people’s lives.

As a team, in total we covered a massive distance of over 270km across these three events.

PROK Managing Director Paul Byrne commented, “This fundraising initiative was a fantastic effort from our team. We’re incredibly proud of our team’s commitment and grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the amazing work Lifeline does to support the community”

Supporting Lifeline’s Crucial Work

Lifeline’s mission is to offer a lifeline to those in crisis. Their tireless efforts to provide emotional support, counselling, and resources are invaluable, and we are humbled to have played a part in supporting their cause.

On average it costs around $39 for Lifeline to take 1 phone call through their call centre. The funds raised through PROK will go directly to these efforts.

Lifeline WA CEO, Lorna MacGregor says,

“We are so grateful to the team at PROK for their fundraising efforts. Lifeline WA relies on the generosity of our Western Australian community to ensure we can continue to train and support our Crisis Supporters. Thank you to PROK, the funds you have raised go directly to ensuring our Crisis Supporters can be there for those in their greatest time of need. Thank you for supporting our purpose to prevent suicide and offer critical crisis support”.
